If you love hosting but don’t love complicated recipes, this 10‑Minute Holiday Boursin Cheese Dip Log is about to become your signature appetizer. It’s rich, creamy, a little sweet, a little savory—and looks like something you’d order at an upscale wine bar, even though it takes just minutes to make.

Equipment

  • Cutting board
  • Serving plate

Ingredients

  • 2 packages Boursin cheese Garlic & Herb
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries chopped
  • cup roasted pistachios or pecans chopped
  • 2-3 strips cooked bacon crumbled (or bacon bits)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley finely chopped
  • ½ tbsp fresh rosemary finely chopped
  • Honey or hot honey for drizzling

Instructions

  • Place a sheet of plastic wrap on a work surface. Transfer the Boursin cheese (keep it refrigerated before this) to the center of the plastic wrap. Bring the wrap up over the cheese and mold it into a log shape. Put it in the freezer to stay firm while you work on the topping.
  • Finely chop cranberries, nuts, parsley, bacon and rosemary. I put everything on a cutting board and chop it together but you can chop it separately too.
  • Unwrap the chilled cheese log and gently roll it in the mixture, pressing lightly to ensure it sticks. Make sure to coat the ends as well.
  • Drizzle generously with honey or hot honey.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

The cheese log can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance, however the nuts and bacon will not be as crispy after being refrigerated. If you choose to still do it, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate. Add the honey drizzle just before serving for best presentation.
