Mason jar
Immersion blender
- 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves lightly packed
- 1 small garlic clove
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1/4 teaspoon salt plus more to taste
- Pinch of black pepper
- Pinch of chili powder optional, for a little heat
Immersion Blender Method:
- Taste and adjust: Add more honey for sweetness or more vinegar for tang.
- If the dressing thickens in the fridge, let it sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes and shake well before using.
- For a smoother consistency without a blender, chop the basil very finely.
