Easy Cheesy Garlic Chicken Fritters
If you love crispy, cheesy, and juicy bites of goodness, then Cheesy Garlic Chicken Fritters are about to become your new obsession! These golden-brown delights combine tender chicken, gooey melted cheese, and a perfect blend of seasonings to create a snack that’s impossible to resist. Whether you’re looking for a quick appetizer, a fun party snack, or a delicious main course, these fritters deliver on both flavor and texture.

Do you have a recipe that seems to always get the “Can I have the recipe, please” response? This one ALWAYS gets raving reviews, and I can see why. These fitters are so full of flavor and are addicting. This is one one my go-to’s for new mom meals because it’s super versatile and different from the traditional lasagna that everyone tends to bring (don’t get me wrong, I love lasagna but you know what I mean ;).
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
Thirty minutes from mixing bowl to plate. These are fast, easy, and the kind of thing everyone in the house gets excited about.
Two cheeses inside every fritter means you get that melty, gooey cheese pull alongside the crispy golden outside. It’s a really good combination of textures.

Ground chicken is leaner than ground beef but the Parmesan, mozzarella, and milk keep these incredibly moist and juicy rather than dry.

Ingredients You’ll Need To Make Chicken Fritters
To make these cheesy, crispy fritters, you’ll need:

The Fritter Mixture
Ground chicken at 90 to 92% lean is specifically the right choice, any leaner than that and the fritters can turn dry since there’s not enough fat to keep them moist through the fry. One egg binds everything together. Italian breadcrumbs add seasoning and help the fritters hold their shape. Milk adds just enough moisture to keep the texture from being dense. Parmesan and mozzarella are the double cheese combination that makes these special. Fresh spinach, parsley, or chives add color and freshness. Garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper season throughout.
How to Make Cheesy Chicken Fritters
Step 1: Mix the Fritter Mixture
Combine the ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, both cheeses, chopped greens, and all the seasonings in a large bowl. Mix until everything is evenly combined and the cheese and greens are distributed throughout. Don’t overmix.

Step 2: Shape the Fritters
With lightly oiled or wet hands, scoop portions of the mixture and shape into small patties about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 3: Fry Until Golden
Heat a generous amount of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the fritters in a single layer with space between each one. Fry for 4 to 5 minutes per side without moving them so the crust has time to develop. They’re ready to flip when they release easily from the pan and the bottom is deeply golden. Cook to an internal temperature of 165°F. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 4: Serve
Serve immediately while the outside is still crispy with your dipping sauce of choice alongside.
Storing & Reheating
Store in a sealed airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 375°F for 4 to 5 minutes to restore the crispy exterior. You can also reheat in the oven at 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes. The microwave is the last resort since it makes the outside soft.
These also freeze well. Freeze in a single layer then transfer to a bag for up to 3 months. Reheat from frozen in the air fryer adding a few extra minutes.

Serving Suggestions
Serve hot with garlic aioli as the primary dipping sauce. It pairs with the garlic and Parmesan in the fritters better than anything else. Ranch is the crowd-pleasing option that works for everyone. Spicy mayo adds heat. Marinara turns these into something that tastes like a deconstructed chicken Parmesan situation which is excellent. For a complete dinner, serve with Cilantro Lime Rice or a simple green salad.

Cheesy Chicken Garlic Fritters
Ingredients
Method
- In a bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, cheese, spinach (or other greens suggested), garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Scoop small portions and shape them into patties.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry each fritter until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Alternatively, you can bake them at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Pair with your favorite side and a dipping sauce like garlic aioli, ranch, or spicy mayo.
Notes
- Use 90 to 92% lean ground chicken. Leaner than that and the fritters can turn dry. The fat content keeps them juicy and helps them hold together in the pan.
- Wet hands or a light coating of oil on your palms makes shaping the patties much easier. Ground chicken is sticky and this saves a lot of frustration.
- Don’t crowd the pan. Give each fritter space so it gets a proper golden crust rather than steaming against its neighbors.
- These are excellent for meal prep. Make a batch, refrigerate, and reheat in the air fryer at 375°F for 4 to 5 minutes to bring the crust back.
