Cheeseburger Sliders
Cheeseburger sliders are one of those recipes that works for absolutely everything. Game day, weeknight dinner, birthday party, random Saturday afternoon when you need something everyone is going to love. You start by browning the ground beef with diced onion, steak seasoning, and garlic powder until it is perfectly cooked and flavorful. Then you stir in cream cheese and a splash of bone broth until the whole thing turns creamy and rich. Layer it onto dinner rolls with cheddar on the bottom and mozzarella on top, brush the rolls with butter, add sesame seeds, and bake until golden and melty. Thirty minutes and twelve sliders that disappear faster than almost anything else I make.

Why You’ll Love Cheeseburger Sliders
Thirty minutes from start to finish and twelve sliders come out of the oven at once. This is one of the most efficient crowd-feeding recipes you can make.
The cream cheese stirred into the beef filling keeps everything moist, creamy, and cohesive…. which means no dry crumbly beef falling out of the rolls when you pick them up.

Ingredients Needed to Make Cheeseburger Sliders
The Beef Filling
Lean ground beef cooked with finely diced yellow onion, steak seasoning, and garlic powder. Cream cheese and bone broth stirred in at the end make the filling creamy and moist. Lean beef is specifically recommended so the filling is not greasy.
The Cheese
Medium cheddar slices layered under the beef add a classic cheeseburger flavor foundation. Shredded mozzarella or additional cheddar over the beef adds the melty, gooey element that makes every bite satisfying.
The Rolls
Twelve dinner rolls sliced as a single connected unit horizontally. Brushed with melted butter and topped with sesame seeds before baking for that classic slider bun finish.

How to Make Cheeseburger Sliders
Step 1: Prep and Preheat
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a rimmed baking sheet with butter.
Step 2: Cook the Beef
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the diced onion for 2 to 3 minutes until soft. Add the ground beef, steak seasoning, and garlic powder. Break apart and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until fully browned and cooked through.

Step 3: Make It Creamy
Reduce the heat to low. Add the cream cheese and bone broth. Stir until the cream cheese is completely melted and the filling is smooth and creamy. Remove from heat.
Step 4: Build the Sliders
Slice the entire roll package horizontally without separating the rolls. Place the bottom half on the baking sheet. Layer the cheddar slices over the rolls then spread the beef filling evenly over the cheese. Scatter the mozzarella or additional cheddar over the beef.

Step 5: Top and Bake
Place the top half of the rolls over the filling. Brush generously with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden and the cheese is fully melted. Broil for 1 to 2 minutes if the tops need more color.

Step 6: Rest and Slice
Let rest for 2 to 3 minutes then cut between the rolls and serve warm.
How to Store Cheeseburger Sliders
Store in a sealed airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 325°F oven covered with foil for 10 minutes or in the air fryer at 350°F for 3 to 4 minutes to restore the golden tops. The microwave works but softens the rolls significantly.

Serving Suggestions
Serve warm directly from the baking sheet with extra condiments on the side, ketchup, mustard, mayo, and pickles all work naturally alongside the classic cheeseburger flavor. A simple green salad or a bowl of potato chips alongside turns these into a complete meal.

Cheeseburger Sliders
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a rimmed baking sheet with butter.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 2–3 minutes, until softened. Add the ground beef and break it apart with a spatula.
- Sprinkle in the steak seasoning and garlic powder. Cook for 5–7 minutes, breaking the beef into small crumbles, until browned and cooked through.
- Reduce the heat to low. Add the cream cheese and bone broth or water. Stir until the cream cheese has melted and the mixture is evenly combined and creamy. Remove from the heat.
- Without separating the rolls, slice the entire package of dinner rolls horizontally to create one large top and bottom.
- Place the bottom half of the rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Arrange the 4 slices of cheddar evenly over the rolls, then spread the beef mixture evenly over the cheese.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar or mozzarella evenly over the beef.
- Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese and beef mixture. Brush the tops with the melted butter, then sprinkle evenly with sesame seeds.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and the tops of the rolls are golden brown.
- Let the sliders rest for 2–3 minutes, then cut between the rolls and serve warm.
Notes
- Don’t overcook the beef. Cook just until browned and cooked through so the sliders stay juicy.
- Cream cheese adds moisture: The cream cheese and broth create a creamy beef mixture that helps keep the filling tender and flavorful.
- Cheese options: Medium cheddar gives these classic cheeseburger flavor, while mozzarella makes them extra melty. You can use either combination listed in the ingredients.
- For extra browning: If the tops aren’t quite as golden as you’d like after 15 minutes, broil for 1–2 minutes, watching closely so the rolls don’t burn.
- Let them rest: A few minutes of resting makes the sliders easier to cut and helps keep the cheese from sliding out.
